Larkup is operated by Larkup Inc., providing AI infrastructure for the modern education system.

Larkup is a platform that empowers educational institutions with secure, scalable AI infrastructure. Users may join the platform in different roles, including Educator, Student, and Administrator.

Larkup works closely with universities, IT departments, and academic coordinators to deploy custom AI workflows (like smart grading, content generation, and intelligent tutoring).

Larkup provides a suite of AI tools designed to assist in educational processes. It does not guarantee absolute accuracy of generated content, perfect grading, or any specific academic outcome.

You may use Larkup only if you are legally allowed to enter into this agreement under the law that applies to you.

Because Larkup is typically integrated with institutional systems, you may also need to meet the requirements of your university or educational institution to access certain features.

If you are using Larkup on behalf of a university or organisation, you represent that you have the authority to do so.

To use certain parts of Larkup, you need to create an account, often using your institutional credentials.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that takes place through your account.

You must not share your account with another person, impersonate someone else, or attempt to access administrative features without authorization.

Larkup allows users to participate in the platform under different roles depending on their institutional affiliation.

You are responsible for how you use these roles. As an Educator, you are responsible for overseeing the AI configurations and verifying the outputs (such as automated grading). As a Student, you are expected to use AI assistance ethically and within your institution's academic integrity policies.

Much of Larkup's usage takes place within secure institutional deployments (e.g., integrating with a university's private data).

If you participate through such a deployment, you are subject to that university's own rules, data procedures, and codes of conduct regarding AI usage.

Where necessary for security or administration, Larkup may work with the relevant university IT department. How your data is handled is detailed in our Privacy Policy and governed by the enterprise agreements we hold with your institution.

You agree to use Larkup lawfully and in a way that respects academic integrity and platform security.

You must not:

• use the AI tools to generate hateful, discriminatory, or abusive content;
• engage in prompt injection or attempt to bypass security guardrails;
• submit AI-generated work dishonestly in violation of your institution's policies;
• attempt to extract private student data or intellectual property you are not authorized to view;
• interfere with the security or operation of the platform;
• scrape, reverse engineer, or misuse the platform infrastructure;
• use Larkup in a way that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law.

Larkup provides powerful AI generation and analysis. However, artificial intelligence can sometimes hallucinate or produce inaccurate results.

You are responsible for verifying any AI-generated output (including grades, summaries, and research insights) before relying on it for official academic purposes. Larkup is an assistive tool and does not replace human judgment.

You (or your institution) retain ownership of the content you submit to Larkup, such as syllabi, research papers, and prompts.

Larkup is designed with privacy as a feature. We do not use your private institutional data or user submissions to train public AI models. By submitting content, you grant us only the necessary permissions to process that data within your secure institutional environment to provide the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate intellectual property laws or privacy regulations (such as FERPA).

We may review reports, investigate suspected misuse, and take action where necessary to protect our infrastructure, institutions, and users.

Depending on the situation, we may restrict features, suspend accounts, or work with your university administrators to resolve the issue. If you believe a user has acted unlawfully or abused the AI systems, report it to support@larkup.com.

You may stop using Larkup at any time.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, compromise platform security, or if instructed to do so by your institutional administrators.

We may change, update, or discontinue features of Larkup from time to time to improve the AI models and infrastructure. We do not promise that the platform will always be available without interruption.

Larkup's proprietary software, branding, and platform design are protected by intellectual property rights.

Larkup also utilizes and contributes to open-source components. Your use of these components is governed by their respective open-source licenses. Except as permitted by these licenses, you may not copy, modify, or exploit Larkup's proprietary infrastructure.

Larkup provides AI-assisted educational tools. The outputs generated by our AI models do not constitute professional academic, legal, medical, or financial advice.

Larkup is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will be error-free, completely accurate, or perfectly suited for your specific academic needs.

To the extent permitted by law, Larkup Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your reliance on AI-generated outputs, loss of data, or use of the platform.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data securely. Our Community Guidelines outline the behavioral expectations on the platform. These documents are separate from these Terms but govern how the platform operates.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users appropriately.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction as outlined in our institutional enterprise agreements, or alternatively the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, where no institutional agreement supersedes.
